Red Star KC has experienced competitive success and continues to build and strengthen its teams while emphasizing teaching and a family atmosphere.
The club is selective and doesn't add or recruit teams just for the sake of making the club bigger. Qualified coaches who make teaching a priority and relate well to children are hard to find, and our philosophy is to only hire coaches who share those talents.
A number of our competitive teams and coaches come from our Red Star Juniors program (a league/skills program for boys and girls 4 to 6.)
Red Star teams have competed in the Metro League, Champions League and Northland Sports Alliance (SPCAA) and are home-based at Western Missouri Soccer League.
One of our teams, the Red Star Rowdies (Mike Bromstedt, coach), competes on a regional and national level. The Rowdies have been regional 3v3 champions and competed in the national 3v3 tournament. They recently were ranked fourth in the nation in their age group.
